Interaction with Dr. Jay Mehta sir on Mass Media and Communication

On 15th January department of English arranged the interaction with Dr. Jay Mehta sir. Again we got the chance to attend the lecture of Jay sir. The lecture was on mass media and communication. He said very first line, "પત્રકારત્વ એ ઉતાવળે સર્જાતુ સાહિત્ય છે."

Whenever we want to hear our favorite song, watch our favorite show, or see the latest current events, wherever we go, all time we are connected with mass media. Some of the most popular forms of mass media are newspapers, magazines, radio, advertisements, social media, television, Internet. So, Jay sir gave us information about the history of mass media, cinema social media. He is a translator so he has good Information about the newspapers and the some fact of it.

Print media is old media of them. Four pillars of constitution,
Judiciary
Parliament
Army
Media

Media is one strong pillar of Indian constitution. If we talk about today so, media becomes so glamourous. Advertisement is one part of mass media. It deals with language and human psychology. In most of the adds they focuses on the language that can we attract people towards our products. Cola launched one of the most successful add, “Thanda Matlab Coca Cola.” which is given by Prasoon Joshi.

Types of Cinema,
Mainstream cinema and
Parallel cinema.
Infotainment/edutainment, which is a new form of cinema. Nowadays we can see the trend of film adaptation of literature.

So, we are again thankful to Head of the department, Dr. Dilip Barad sir to invite Jay sir, who enlighted the knowledge of mass media and communication.

Uncle Podger Hangs a Picture

The short story ‘Uncle Podge Hangs a Picture’ is full of comic incidents which is adopted from 'Three Men in a Boat' and written by Jerome K. Jerome. The story revolves around Uncle Podger, who tries to hangs a picture on wall, from that activity he makes readers laugh. He thinks himself to full of ability and skills, he can do any sort of job, but in reality he involves his family members to do such job. Uncle Podger assigns some work to all the family members and asks them to do it with maximum efficiency. He creates whole mess and he blames Aunt Maria to be responsible for creating the fuss. Uncle Podger is the kind of person who annoyed everyone around him. They all know his capabilities, even if he doesn’t. He may mean well, and he may mean to be helpful, but all he will do is to cause more problems.

Hindi play Digdarshak

August, 09 2017 The review of the play "Digdarshak" I have been watched one hindi play "Ek Maulik Sarjak : Digdarshak" . which was arranged by film screening committee. Review of the play and presentation given by Alpa Pond, which was very well presented. It is written by Priyam Jani and directed by Rishit Jhaveri. By watching this play I have got two ideas Drama & film and cinema v/s theatre. The plot of the play is about cinema v/s theatre and great bond between directer and actor. actor wanted to become a successful actor and this how he uses the theatre to as a step of success. there is very nice message in this play that we have to keep balance between our personal life and professional life. and the directer doesn't make balance between personal life and professional life. directer was very punctual and he wanted that everyone should follow his rule but it is quit imposs...

Mass Media Mass Media is a platform through which people can communicate with larger numbers of a people. Some of the most popular forms of mass media are newspapers, magazines, radio, advertisements, social media, television, Internet, and films/movies. As time goes on changes we can find some new sources of mass media. As time changes the tools also changes, like earlier we have to wait for the newspaper and we can get information from only newspaper or radio. But nowadays we are familiar with digital newspaper, social media, blogs, different websites etc. ➲ Which is your favorite Mass media platform for communication? Why do you like it?
